Use the written notes below to continue learning.
Objective
Define a risk budget that protects account survival before you decide how active a bot should be.
Operator Framework
- Start from the amount allocated to the bot, not total wallet optimism.
- Set daily loss, weekly drawdown, and per-trade risk as separate limits.
- Connect each limit to a platform action: warn, pause entries, or full operator review.
- Document why the limit fits the current account size and strategy frequency.
Production Checklist
- Bot allocation is known and smaller than total exchange balance.
- Daily loss cap is set before live mode.
- Max open exposure prevents correlated symbol stacking.
- Review date is attached to every risk budget change.
Field Assignment
Calculate a sample risk budget for a 1,000 QC operating wallet and explain what would force a lower budget.
